Registration Week
April 6 - 10, 2026

Registration Week is a university-wide opportunity to intentionally pause and prioritize registration for the upcoming semester. The goal is simple: ensure undergraduate students are informed, supported, and confident as they prepare for registration and plan upcoming semesters.

Registration Week is designed to encourage students to register before leaving for summer break, with coordinated efforts across campus to provide timely support and guidance.

Ways to Prepare for Class Registration

Below is an overview of how to support a student through the registration process.

Students

  1. Do Not Wait to Enroll: It is always easier to drop a class than add.
  2. Prepare for Registration: Check your RamPortal account to find your specific registration start date and time. Ensure there are no holds (e.g., financial, academic) on your account.
  3. Meet with Your Advisor or Student Success Coordinator: Discuss your course choices and get academic approval.
  4. Plan Ahead: Use the RamPortal Plan Ahead tool to select courses, check for prerequisites, and create a tentative schedule.
  5. Register for Classes: Log in to RamPortal at your scheduled start date and time.
  6. Confirm Registration: Verify that your class status changes from "Pending" to "Registered."
  7. Need some help? Come to a Registration Week Event (see schedule below)

  3. Utilize Academic Tools: Guide students to use the Degree Audit to identify outstanding requirements and the "Plan Ahead" feature to create a tentative schedule.
  4. Finalize Enrollment: Guide students to log in to RamPortal on their assigned date/time, review their planned courses, and complete the enrollment steps (ensuring they click "Finish").
  5. Encourage Timely Registration: Make sure students understand the importance of not waiting to enroll; its always easier to drop than add a class!
  6. Does your advisee need support? Send them to a Registration Week Event (see schedule below)
  7. Registration Week: If your students are struggling with how to register, feel free to send them to a drop-in event during registration week.
