MPH in Health Care Management – 100% asynchronous distance education course format

The MPH in Health Care Management is offered as 100% distance education in an asynchronous format, providing flexibility for working professionals and students balancing commitments. Students also have the option to take the core courses of Biostatistics and Epidemiology in person.

This concentration is designed for students aspiring to leadership, managerial, or administrative roles within the health care industry. This program addresses the growing need for skilled health care administrators by building upon the MPH core curriculum with specialized courses that provide insights into the operational, financial, and policy and legal-related challenges of the health care sector. The concentration offers a structured focus on administrative principles, strategic decision-making, quality assurance, and systems management.

Graduates are prepared for careers in health systems, hospitals, consulting firms, managed care organizations, insurance companies, medical group practices, pharmaceutical companies, government agencies, and other health care settings. Graduates often play a critical role in planning, implementing, managing, and evaluating healthcare programs, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services. Whether in government agencies or the private sector, professionals in this field develop and oversee administrative systems that support population health needs while optimizing health care operations.
