Student Teaching
The Student Teaching Experience
Student teaching is the capstone project of our teacher preparation programs. During this experience, Teacher Candidates will continue to gain additional practical knowledge as well as an understanding of how educational theory connects to instruction in the classroom. Teacher Candidates will plan and teach a variety of lessons and encounter the everyday and sometimes not so everyday issues related to education. Student Teaching is a time to try ideas and to listen and learn from the mentor teacher and the students. Teacher Candidates will have an opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.
