Introduction to the WCU Website
The WCU Distance Education website is here to provide you with information and access to resources provided by not only the Office of Digital Learning and Innovation, but also other university departments and programs, such as the Office of Educational Accessibility (OEA), Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity, and so many others. As you know this page is an orientation to Distance Education, but the website has a lot more to offer than just this one page. Watch the video below to receive and introduction to navigating the WCU Distance Education website.
Introduction to Desire2Learn
West Chester University classes use Desire2Learn Brightspace (D2L) as our learning management system (LMS). Whether you're new to a LMS or used one at your previous institution, the following video will guide you to log into D2L for the first time and provide a pathway to other orientation materials. You will need your WCU login credentials (email and password) to access D2L.
How to Search for Classes
Whether you're considering enrolling in an online course of study at West Chester University or have been accepted into a program with an online component, you will want to be able to explore which courses are offered in a "100% online" format.
On our Online Degrees and Certificates page, you can explore requirements by program or access the course catalog to search for classes. Be sure to filter courses to "Search Distance Ed courses" using the left-hand navigation menu.
