2026-2027 Returning Student Housing Updates
Email communications sent to students from the Residence Life & Housing Office regarding the 2026-2027 returning student housing application and process.

Hello Golden Ram,
On Monday, October 27, 2025, at 12:00pm (EST) the 2026-2027 Returning Student Housing Application will open for returning students interested in living on campus in WCU Managed Housing or USH Affiliated Housing for the 2026-2027 academic year (fall semester 2026 and spring semester 2027).
As you consider your housing options for next year, we encourage you to review the 2026-2027 Returning Student Housing Application Timeline website to learn more about each housing provider's application timeline and important dates associated with each process. We also encourage you to consider how you may pay for housing next year. Look at the options below to help plan.
How are you paying for housing next year?
- Financial Aid
- File your 2026-27 FAFSA Early! The FAFSA is open at https://studentaid.gov, WCU would love to see students file in Fall 2025 to qualify for maximum financial aid.
- Payment without the assistance of Financial Aid
- Transfer of 529 funds to help pay for school costs
Schedule an appointment with a Financial Aid Counselor to talk more about your options and preparing accordingly for the 2026-2027 Academic Year

On Monday, October 27, 2025, at 12:00pm (EST) the 2026-2027 Returning Student Request to House Application will open for returning students interested in living on campus in WCU Managed Housing or USH Affiliated Housing for the 2026-2027 academic year (fall semester 2026 and spring semester 2027).
As a returning student, we encourage you to consider all living options. This includes exploring both on-campus housing providers--WCU Managed Housing and USH Affiliated Housing - as well as nearby off-campus living options and resources from WCU’s Student Experience office.
Between now and October 27, you can expect weekly updates related to the returning student housing process via your WCU email. Weekly updates will include information about financial aid, the housing application process, roommate matching, housing self-selection and tips to navigate the process for each provider.
