Brandon Mitchell (Assistant Professor, Physics & Engineering) will work with research students on the dynamics of energy transfer in rare earth doped semiconductor and nanoparticle systems.
Anil Kandalam (Associate Professor, Physics & Engineering) will work with students to perform computations that determine the electronic structure and magnetic properties of nanoclusters, nanoparticles, and cluster-surface interactions.
Kurt Kolasinski (Professor, Chemistry) will work with research students on the analysis and fabrication of nano-porous Si using regenerative electroless etching.
Jingqiu Hu (Assistant Professor, Chemistry) will work with research students on fluorescent nanoclusters as chemical sensors for the detection of heavy metal ions and organic compounds in water.
Lorenzo Cena (Assistant Professor, Environmental Health) will work with research students on exposure and health effects during manufacturing, handling, disposal and inhalation of engineered nanoparticles and nanomaterials.
