He is a founding member of a percussion duo with April Ong—ACnd Duo (pronounced "Ascend")—who were the first-place winners of the 2023 Great Plains International Marimba Competition (Duo Division). ACnd Duo was named Boston Conservatory at Berklee’s “Honors Chamber Ensemble” for the 2023–2024 concert season and were also semi-finalists in the 2023 Southern California International Artist Competition (Duo Division). Since then, the duo has performed a variety of concerts internationally across Europe and Asia.

Chandler holds an M.M. in Marimba Performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where he studied with internationally renowned marimbist Nancy Zeltsman and Jon Bisesi, former percussionist of “The President’s Own” Marine Band. He also holds a B.M. in Percussion Performance from the same institution, where he studied with Zeltsman, Bisesi, former Boston Symphony Orchestra percussionist Kyle Brightwell, and Samuel Z. Solomon. He previously attended Interlochen Arts Academy, where he studied with percussionist Keith Aleo, and before that, he was a student of Brian Slawson.

He is currently pursuing his Alexander Technique Teacher Certification under the guidance of Professor Debi Adams.
