How to Set-Up Your
RamNet ID Account
Your RamNet ID Account is your West Chester University student account (@wcupa.edu username and password) which provides you access to WCU email, RamPortal, D2L and more.

Find Your RamNet ID Number:
To find your RamNet ID Number, log in to the Admissions portal (Undergraduate or Graduate).
Make note of your 7-digit RamNet ID Number (for example: 3654321).

Go to the Account Setup Page:
Click on the "Initialize Password" button under the "New Student" section.

Click on the Initialize Your Password:
Click on "Initialize Password" button under the "New Student" section.
Please note, if you are a former West Chester University student or employee, you do not need to create a new WCU account, simply reset your password.

Enter Your Username:
In the “Username” box, type your RamNet ID Number (from step one) followed by “@wcupa.edu”.
For example:
If your RamNet ID Number is 3654321, then your username = 3654321@wcupa.edu

Enter your Temporary Password:
In the "Old/Current Password" box, type your temporary password. Your temporary password is: "WCU-" followed by your date of birth (format: WCU-MMDDYYYY). Be sure to use uppercase for "WCU".
For example:
If your birthdate is March 4, 2003, then your "Old/Current password" = WCU-03042003

Enter a New Password:
Your new password:
- Must be at least 12 characters.
- Must not include any part of your name.
Duplicate your new password in the "Confirm your New Password" box.
Click the "Update Password" button.

Welcome to your RamNet ID account!
Access to RamPortal and D2L will be immediate. Access to your WCU Email will be available 30 minutes after you create your password.

Your RamNet ID Access Links
Now that your RamNet ID is set up, you can use these links to access your WCU student systems and services — including email, course materials, campus Wi-Fi, and more.
RamPortal - View student information, financial aid information, billing, on-campus housing info, grading, and class scheduling.
WCU Email (Webmail) - Your WCU email account.
D2L - our campus learning management system, which is used by instructors to post course materials, hold online discussions, tests, quizzes, and surveys.
RamNet - WCU’s wifi network (available on campus).
Office365 – Options for file storing, sharing and collaborating.
Help Desk – The central point of contact for all technology-related hardware, software, and system support.
