Workshops
Academic community-engaged learning and community engagement workshops take place each semester. Workshops are led by members of the faculty with extensive experience in the field, and cover a range of topics, including best practices for selecting and working alongside community partners, assessing community-engaged learning, and trouble-shooting challenges with community-engaged learning. Workshops are open to all WCU faculty.
Upcoming Workshops
The Fall 2023 workshop is taking place Tuesday, November 7th at 2pm on Zoom. Please join us for a discussion of Community-Engaged Learning in STEM with Dr. Megan Fork from the Department of Biology, Gary Childs from University Libraries, and Dr. Rita Patel Eng from CCESI, and representatives from a community partner organization. Please contact Elizabeth Munz or Katie Clay with any questions about this workshop or with ideas for upcoming workshops.
