JED Campus

What is JED?
PROTECTING THE EMOTIONAL HEALTH OF TEENS & YOUNG ADULTS
We support the ways that our students need to be well and recognize mental health as being an essential component of overall health and well-being and student success. We are partnering with The Jed Foundation (JED) to become a JED Campus to commit resources and support of student emotional well-being and mental health.
How Does It Work?

The program is crafted to identify opportunities for improving emotional well-being,
substance abuse prevention, and suicide prevention initiatives on campus, aiming to
establish mental health safety nets. By becoming a part of JED Campus, WCU commits
our dedication to prioritizing the emotional well-being of our students.
JED Campus institutions engage in a comprehensive, multi-year strategic partnership. This collaboration not only evaluates and improves existing efforts but also contributes to fostering enduring, positive, and systemic transformations in the campus community.
