The Ram's Eye View 2023-2024 Student Handbook

The Ram's Eye View Student Handbook 2023 - 2024 is produced by the Division of Student Affairs, Office of the Dean of Students, 200 Ruby Jones Hall.

Greetings from the President's Office

President Fiorentino

Welcome to our new Golden Rams, and welcome back to our returning students!

Today, more than ever, West Chester University offers unlimited opportunities for developing your unique skills and talents, advancing your personal and career objectives, and applying classroom lessons to the wider world. Our campus community provides comprehensive support to help you meet your goals, now and into the future. Whether you find yourself confronting an academic or a personal challenge, this handbook can point you toward the answers and assistance you need.

Look to this handbook to learn about opportunities to have fun on campus. Maybe you’ll consider joining one or more of our 280-plus student organizations to meet students who are equally interested in music, academics, religion, politics, or sports. In WCU’s Student Recreation Center, tackle the three-story-high climbing wall, take a spinning class, or shoot some hoops. When the sun goes down, check out the ever-popular Rams After Hours in Sykes Student Union. This handbook also will fill you in on ways you can join other WCU students in giving back to the community.

Ram’s Eye View gives you the scoop on our intercollegiate athletics, as well as information on club and intramural sports. It will help familiarize you with all that the Borough of West Chester has to offer, including restaurants, shops, parks, and places of worship. You’ll also learn about important University policies, including the Student Code of Conduct.

Best wishes for the 2023-24 academic year. I look forward to seeing you on campus soon!

Sincerely,

Dr. Christopher M. Fiorentino
President, West Chester University
